Annissa started belly dancing in 2000 as a means to make friends and get some exercise after moving to Tacoma, Washington. She has studied oriental, Egyptian, and tribal fusion styles under several instructors in both the U.S. and Canada. She continues to learn by taking classes and going to workshops. She recently started teaching a beginner belly dance class at the Dewdney East Community Association.
Annissa is a founding member and the principal choreographer for Br’Issah. She is also a member of Raks Azhar.
