RAMED is pleased to invite you to our first virtual hafla!
Grab a beverage of your choice and enjoy a chat with your fellow dancers while we wait for everyone to join! The floor is open to any and all topics, dance-related or otherwise.
2:30-3:00pm: Vic Dyck and Darcy Sharman will present a mini-seminar on Basic Drum Beats and Song Structure for Dancers. This topic will also function as a teaser for a post-lockdown RAMED event currently in the planning stages…ask us for details!
Then it’s time to dance! If you’d like to demonstrate a part of a work in progress, share a bit of improv, debut a new combo, or perform a partial or whole song choreography, we’d love to see it! If you have a new costume piece, music, prop, or other dance-related item that is exciting you, grab it and show it off at this time too! We’ll also livestream some music for everyone to dance to and enjoy for a “virtual party” atmosphere.
Pets and family members of all ages are always welcome to pop in to this event! Feel free to enter and leave as your own interest and schedule allows.
If you’d like to perform during the performance section of the event, please send a one-sentence intro and your music to firstname.lastname@example.org before May 23 so we can announce you and livestream your music. Annissa is available for a virtual tech rehearsal if you are new to dancing/ streaming via Zoom–just include a note in your music/ intro email so she can get back to you and schedule a tech time.

There will be dance games, music, munchies, socializing, and a chance for dancers to show off what they are working on and obtain supportive feedback (bring your music on CD or electronic device with adapter).
Sun, November 6, 2016 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre, 2900 – 13 Avenue, Regina
RSVP below by Nov 4 so we know how much food to get (with any allergies/intolerances).
Come dine, dance, and discuss RAMED business for a delightful afternoon with the Board. There will be an area to swap/sell your gently used costumes, accessories, music, etc. A drop-box will also be set up to collect your suggestions for a workshop instructor for the Pro show in fall of 2017.
Your RAMED Board has been working hard this summer to put our house in order. We have extended everyone’s current membership till December 31, 2016 to better serve the dance community. All members will be sent the documents to be discussed at the meeting by October 22, 2016. Please review them ahead of time so we can keep the business portion of the afternoon to an hour. We are also looking for a couple new Board Members to join our ranks. We meet for a couple hours once a month, details will be provided along with meeting documents if you’d like to join us to help organize these fun events for the Regina and area dance community.
Bring your music (on CD or electronic device with adapter) and perform a choreography you’ve been working on or just dance to whatever is playing. Let’s get together and have a great time. Hope to see you all there.
